Good Things Come in Threes

Tags: Freeware Releases

I've had a busy week! I'm proud to announce the release of three more freeware offerings on my freeware page!

Site Creation and Approval Workflow

So I wanted to get my feet wet with Windows Workflow Foundation and I remember receiving countless questions from clients around how they wanted some way to force an approval system for new sites created in their site collections. Well, I'm pleased to report that the day is here, and it's an honor to give it to you open source!

List Item Archiving Web Parts

Naturally, I wanted to have a good archiving system for my blog and I wanted to keep the familiar SharePoint blog look and feel, so I wrote this set of generic list item archiving web parts that I'm using to archive my posts. Together they make a nice pair! Check out my archive for a working example.

SPFarmDiscovery

I just wrote this today!! One of my colleagues at RBA needed a report of all the sites in one of his client's farm, and I jumped on the opportunity to write a fun little script! This executable crawls your entire farm and builds an XML file that contains a node for every object in the farm all the way down to to the Web level. It also captures some nice meta-data along the way.

Good Luck!
